Coming from Richmond, Virginia, Austin Kim was known on campus for his contributions in the classroom, on the piano, and on the tennis court. An accomplished pianist, he completed majors in chemistry and French, while playing varsity men’s tennis for four years. Austin was captain of the team his junior and senior years, earning numerous conference, state, and regional awards, including conference scholar-athlete of the year in 2004. He was elected to Alpha Epsilon Delta (pre-medicine honor society), Phi Beta Kappa, and Omicron Delta Kappa and was headed to Dartmouth Medical School.
