Disciplinary action to address employee performance concerns is generally progressive. Managers should first use coaching conversations to address concerns. If concerns persist, managers can then work with the employee using counseling documents to guide the process. Employee counseling can involve a written warning and/or a performance improvement plan.
Human Resources is available to support managers with performance documentation to communicate concerns to the employee and provide clarity in expectations. Please contact Kristy Crickenberger or Jodi Williams for support with performance documentation and access to counseling document templates.
